How often do you beat yourself up with your thoughts? Have you ever considered the root of those thoughts? In this next episode of the Fix Your Thoughts series, Mandie talks with the founder of UncommonTEEN, Jamie Kirschner about how words spoken over us in the past, might still be impacting our present.
Words are powerful; the ones spoken over us and the ones we speak over others. We want to recognize and tear down the lies that we've been believing for far too long and replace them with what is good and true. We want to be careful of what we speak over others, also, especially young people. Our words can either tear down or build up! Mandie and Jamie both share personal stories and practical steps to changing our thought life for the good.
Growing up in small-town Missouri, Jamie longed to have someone guide her through the issues she faced as a teen but sadly ended up navigating them alone. At age 18, she felt the call to serve Christian teen girls by doing just that…helping girls overcome real-life issues and stay true to who God created them to be. Jamie now lives outside of Nashville, TN, and has been faithfully serving teens for over 20 years.
